Smite 2's Open Beta Launch: January 14, 2025

Get ready! Smite 2, the highly anticipated sequel to the popular MOBA, launches its free-to-play open beta on January 14, 2025. This marks a significant milestone for the Unreal Engine 5-powered game, which entered Alpha in 2024.

This open beta will feature a wealth of new content, including:

• New God: Aladdin, the first God from the Tales of Arabia pantheon, makes his debut, bringing his unique wall-running and lamp-trapping abilities as a Magical Assassin and Jungler.

• Returning Favorites: Popular Gods from the original Smite, such as Mulan, Geb, Ullr, and Agni, return with revamped skill sets.

• Expanded Roster: The initial 14 Gods from the Alpha will expand to nearly 50 by January 2025.

• New Game Modes: Experience thrilling new gameplay with the introduction of Joust (3v3) and Duel (1v1), both featuring an Arthurian-themed map with teleporters and stealth grass.

• Aspects System: This innovative system allows players to modify their God's abilities, trading one aspect for a powerful boon. For instance, Athena can forgo her ally-shielding teleport for a foe-weakening one. 20 Gods will initially feature Aspects, with more to come.

• Quality-of-Life Improvements: Smite 2 prioritizes player experience with additions like Role Guides, improved in-game messaging, PC text chat, enhanced item store navigation, and detailed death recaps.

• Esports Debut: The first Smite 2 esports tournament finale will take place at the HyperX Arena in Las Vegas from January 17-19.
