Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) announced significant leadership changes, effective April 1, 2025. Hideaki Nishino has been appointed sole CEO of SIE, succeeding the previous co-leadership structure. This follows the retirement of Jim Ryan last year, which initially saw a split leadership between Nishino and Hermen Hulst.

Simultaneously, Sony Corporation announced the promotion of Hiroki Totoki to President and CEO, replacing Kenichiro Yoshida. Lin Tao assumes the role of CFO.

Nishino, a Sony veteran since 2000, previously served as SVP, Platform Experience Group. His expanded role at SIE now encompasses the entire operation and the platform business group. Hermen Hulst remains CEO, Studio Business Group, continuing his oversight of PlayStation Studios.

In a statement, Nishino expressed his honor at leading SIE, emphasizing the company's commitment to technological innovation and creative experiences. He highlighted the PlayStation community's growth through IP expansion and technological advancements, thanking Hulst for his continued contributions.
