Rust Unveils Major Update with Improved Cooking and Farming

Rust, the renowned multiplayer survival game, has just released a significant update known as The Crafting Update. This patch is designed to enhance players' creativity by introducing a variety of new features that add depth and excitement to the gameplay experience. One of the standout additions is the culinary workbench, allowing survivors to whip up dishes like grilled chicken legs and enjoy them with a shot of Siberian vodka. Cooking requires specific recipes, and well-prepared meals offer stat boosts and modifiers that can significantly enhance gameplay.

In this update, players can now raise chickens and chicks in coops, where these birds will live, lay eggs, and flourish if properly cared for. Each chick has four crucial attributes to monitor: Hunger, Thirst, Love, and Sunlight. Failing to meet any of these needs can lead to the birds' demise. Chicken meat, once obtained, will spoil over time, rendering it unusable unless kept in a working refrigerator. To help manage perishables, food items now come with timers indicating their expiration dates.

For those with a penchant for sweets, wild beehives can be discovered on trees. Players must carefully extract honeycombs and transfer them to custom hives made from wooden boxes. Handling bees can be dangerous, so protective suits, water dousing, or even flamethrowers are recommended to avoid stings. A novel addition to the arsenal is the Bee Grenade, which looks like a jar of honey but, when broken, unleashes three swarms of aggressive bees, compelling players to scatter for safety.

The engineering workbench has undergone a complete overhaul, introducing a dedicated tech tree for plumbing and electricity. This upgrade enables players to construct automated systems and even build entire factories, revolutionizing the way they interact with the game environment. Moreover, the developers have introduced premium servers, which are exclusively available to players whose Rust inventory is worth at least $15. This initiative is intended to weed out cheaters and disruptive players, ensuring a more enjoyable experience for dedicated gamers.
