Unlocking Rosa’s Book Side Quest

Before Rosa requests her book, complete the "Via Argentum" quest and begin "Taking French Leave." After assisting the Ruthard family with Vavak (either through force or diplomacy), speak with Rosa. She'll reveal a secret passage to Maleshov, crucial for rescuing Hans. Inquire about the book, then promise to retrieve it to initiate "Rosa's Book." This quest is only accessible during "Taking French Leave." Leaving Maleshov without the book results in quest failure and prevents a potential romance with Rosa.

Locating Rosa’s Book in Maleshov

Upon entering Maleshov, Hans is located in the largest tower's top floor. Use the exterior stairs to access the tower. Inside, you'll find another stairwell and a small kitchen. Wait in the kitchen until the guards upstairs leave.

Sneak upstairs to a room occupied by Lady Ofka. Knock her out, take her keys, the keys from the podium, and the sword from the chest. Rosa's book is in this room—a red book in the window alcove to the right of the fireplace. Grab it; your objective will update. While there, take the sword from the chest in the adjacent room to save time later.

Proceed to the top floor, unlock the left door, and trigger a cutscene. Continue "Taking French Leave." After the stables sequence, return to Kuttenberg City and deliver the book to Rosa at Ruthard Palace to complete the quest.
