Roguelike Rhythm Game 'Crypt of the NecroDancer' Debuts on Android

Jan 17,25

Crunchyroll brings the rhythm-based roguelike, Crypt of the NecroDancer, to Android! This beat-matching adventure, now simply titled "Crunchyroll: NecroDancer" on mobile, originally launched on PC in 2015 and previously saw limited releases on iOS and Android. This Crunchyroll version, however, boasts a massive amount of additional content.

What's Crypt of the NecroDancer All About?

Players step into the shoes of Cadence, a treasure hunter's daughter searching for her missing parent within a rhythmically challenging crypt. The roguelike nature ensures each playthrough is unique.

Fifteen playable characters, each with distinctive styles and challenges, await. Danny Baranowsky's original soundtrack provides the backdrop for this dance-infused dungeon crawl. Movement, attacks – everything is synchronized to the music. Miss a beat, and it's game over! Expect a diverse cast of enemies, from dancing skeletons to hip-hop dragons. See them in action in the trailer below!

More Than Just a Port

This mobile release isn't just a simple port. Crunchyroll and Brace Yourself Games have added remixes, new content, and even Danganronpa character skins for anime fans. Cross-platform multiplayer and mod support are also included. Furthermore, DLC featuring Hatsune Miku and the Synchrony expansion is planned for later this year.

Crunchyroll subscribers can download Crypt of the NecroDancer now from the Google Play Store. Stay tuned for more news, including the upcoming Star Trek Lower Decks x Doctor Who crossover!
