Rockstar Releases Bully Anniversary Edition Update After Six Years

Rockstar, the masterminds behind the GTA series, have just released an Anniversary Edition update for Bully on mobile devices. After a six-year hiatus, this update is a welcome surprise for fans, though it's exclusive to mobile and not available on console or PC.

Rockstar Hasn’t Forgotten about Bullworth Academy!

Bully: Anniversary Edition has been enriched with new languages and is focused on enhancing stability and fixing bugs. Unfortunately, Rockstar has temporarily disabled Friends Challenges, but they've made up for it by introducing several enhancements. Android users with compatible devices now have access to Screen Space Ambient Occlusion (SSAO), and the app icon has been updated. Both Android and iOS users can enjoy new haptic feedback features.

Several missions have been fixed, including 'That Bitch,' where Mandy’s locker was previously impossible to open, and 'Weed Killer,' which would stall if the window was broken prematurely. The notorious police cars in 'The Rumble' that used to fall through the floor are now properly placed. Additionally, the update addresses issues where enemies wouldn't attack Jimmy, making combat feel unbalanced, and fixes crashes that could occur when starting a new game or loading a save from the pause menu.

What Do Players Have to Say about Bully: Anniversary Edition?

For years, fans have been clamoring for Bully 2, but Rockstar seems focused on other projects. There were rumors of a sequel in development during the 2010s, but it was reportedly canceled to prioritize Red Dead Redemption 2 and GTA Online. With GTA 6 now in the works, the prospects for Bully 2 seem dim, especially as many original developers have moved on from Rockstar. While the new update isn't a remaster or a sequel, it's a significant upgrade for mobile gamers.

If you're new to Bully, it's Rockstar's unique take on a schoolyard sandbox game. You step into the shoes of Jimmy Hopkins, a rebellious 15-year-old navigating the challenges of Bullworth Academy. The game retains Rockstar's signature humor and offers plenty of open-world mischief.

So, if you're interested, you can grab Bully: Anniversary Edition on the Google Play Store for €7.99. It also supports full gamepad functionality, enhancing your gaming experience.
