Rise of the Ronin PC Port: Identical to the PS5 Version
Team NINJA's latest ambitious action RPG, reminiscent of soulslike games, has made its way to PC after a year since its initial launch. Despite the release of performance patches in the months following its debut, there has been no word on additional DLC or new content.
So, what can players expect from the PC version if they've already experienced the game on PS5?
Suboptimal PC Port Lacking New Content
Unfortunately, the PC version of Rise of the Ronin doesn't introduce any new content beyond what was available in the original PS5 release. However, it does offer the advantage of customizable graphics settings, allowing players to tailor their visual experience.
Despite this, the PC port has been reported to be less optimized than desired, echoing issues faced during its PlayStation launch. Players may need to spend time adjusting various settings to achieve smooth gameplay.
Is the Rise of the Ronin PC Version Worth Buying?
Hold Off for a Sale, But Don't Expect New Content
At Game8, we rated the PlayStation 5 version of Rise of the Ronin an 80/100, praising its breathtaking visuals, intricate combat mechanics, and robust character creation system. Since the PC version mirrors the original release without enhancements, we suggest waiting for a sale if you're interested in experiencing this unique "samurai with guns" gameplay.
Moreover, given that neither Team NINJA nor Koei Tecmo have announced plans for new content or DLC, it seems unlikely that the game will receive significant updates in the future.
