Ratatan's closed beta test is scheduled to begin on February 27, 2025, as announced via the Kickstarter page. Producer Kazuto Sakajiri shared exciting updates, including over 100,000 Steam wishlists and positive feedback on the original soundtrack demo. While the game won't be featured in the upcoming Steam Next Fest, the team is prioritizing the closed beta and preparing an enhanced demo for the June Steam Next Fest.

The closed beta will initially feature Stage 1, with Stages 2 and 3 added during the month-long testing period. Beta key distribution details will be announced on Discord and X.

Ratatan is slated for release in 2025 on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC. A precise release date remains unannounced.
