May 2025 is shaping up to be an action-packed month in Pokémon GO, filled with exciting events. The standout highlight is undoubtedly the return of the Lake Trio. That's right—they'll be appearing in 5-Star Raids across various regions.

What's Happening in Pokémon GO for May 2025?

First up, Tapu Fini will launch the Five-Star raids from May 1st through May 12th. It will come with its exclusive move, Nature’s Madness, and a chance to encounter its Shiny variant.

Then, beginning May 12th, trainers can embark on a full Lake Trio tour based on their location. Uxie will appear in Asia-Pacific, Mesprit in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and India, and Azelf in the Americas and Greenland.

Once the trio departs, Tapu Bulu will enter raids from May 25th until June 3rd, 2025. It too will feature Nature’s Madness and have a Shiny form available.

For Mega Raid enthusiasts, May also delivers a strong rotation. Mega Houndoom will be available from May 1st to 12th.

Following that, Mega Gyarados will take the spotlight from May 12th to 25th. It will be succeeded by Mega Altaria from May 25th to June 3rd.

Complete Event Schedule Details

The Growing Up event runs from May 2nd to 7th, featuring a Mega Kangaskhan Raid Day on May 3rd. Crown Clash takes place from May 10th to 18th, while the Dynamax Suicune Max Battle Weekend is scheduled for May 10th and 11th.

Community Day is set for May 11th, though the featured Pokémon remains a mystery for now. Crown Clash: Taken Over follows from May 14th to 18th, and a Shadow Raid Day arrives on May 17th.

Next, Final Strike: GO Battle Week runs from May 21st to 27th, with the May Community Day Classic on May 24th. Pokémon GO wraps up the month on May 25th, 2025, with a Gigantamax Machamp Max Battle Day.
