Pokémon Go Launches Wayfarer Challenge in Chile and India
Niantic has exciting news for Pokémon Go trainers in Chile and India with the launch of the Wayfarer Challenge. This event offers a unique opportunity to influence the game environment while earning exclusive rewards. By engaging with the Niantic Wayfarer platform, you can review and approve Wayspot nominations, paving the way for new PokéStops and Gyms in your local area.
The Wayfarer Challenge is scheduled to run from March 7th to 9th in Chile and from March 10th to 12th in India. During these dates, you're invited to nominate real-world landmarks, sculptures, street art, and other notable locations to become part of the Pokémon Go world.
Participating in the review process helps achieve community milestones. If 5,000 nominations are successfully resolved, all participants will be rewarded with 20 Ultra Balls, a Star Piece, an Incense, and a Poffin. Should the community reach 10,000 approvals, the rewards escalate to 25 Ultra Balls, two Star Pieces, two Incense, two Poffins, and a Lucky Egg.
To join in, you must be at least level 37 in Pokémon Go and have a Niantic Wayfarer account. New users will need to complete the Wayfarer Orientation before they can start reviewing nominations. Additionally, you must have recently played in Chile or India or have your Wayfarer Hometown or Bonus Location set to one of these countries. To qualify for the rewards, you need to review at least 50 nominations, and at least one of the community milestones must be met.
Alongside the Wayfarer Challenge, the PokéStop Challenge event will run from March 9th to 12th, exclusively in Chile and India. During this event, you can earn 3x XP for your first visit to new PokéStops, 3x Stardust from opening Gifts, and encounter more Kecleon. Event-specific Field Research tasks will offer chances to encounter Eevee, while Timed Research tasks provide opportunities to catch other Pokémon.
Don't miss out on this chance to enhance your Pokémon Go experience. Download Pokémon Go for free to nominate new PokéStops in your area and visit the Pokémon Go Web Store to stock up on necessary items.
