The Pokémon GO Tour: Unova event brings Black and White Kyurem to Pokémon GO, along with a Shiny Meloetta! This guide details how to obtain and fuse these powerful Pokémon.

Black and White Kyurem Debut

Following the December 2024 announcement, Niantic confirmed the arrival of Black Kyurem, White Kyurem, and Shiny Meloetta for the February 2025 Unova Tour. In-person event attendees in New Taipei City, Taiwan, and Los Angeles, USA (February 21-23, 2025) can participate in five-star raids to capture base Kyurem and then fuse it.

Kyurem Fusion:

Fusion requires:

• Black Kyurem: 1,000 Volt Fusion Energy, 30 Kyurem Candy, 30 Zekrom Candy
• White Kyurem: 1,000 Blaze Fusion Energy, 30 Kyurem Candy, 30 Reshiram Candy

Fusion Energy is earned by defeating Black or White Kyurem in raids. Reversion to the base form is free. Increased Shiny rates for Kyurem, Reshiram, and Zekrom are also available during the event.

A global event (March 1-2, 2025), Pokémon GO Tour: Unova - Global, offers a ticket-free opportunity for all players to participate.

Shiny Meloetta Arrives!

Shiny Meloetta makes its Pokémon GO debut! In-person event ticket holders can complete a Masterwork Research to encounter it. This research doesn't expire, allowing flexible completion.

Iconic Unova Legendaries

Kyurem, Reshiram, Zekrom, and Meloetta originally appeared in Pokémon Black and White. Black and White 2 introduced Kyurem's alternate forms, capable of learning Ice Burn and Freeze Shock, mirroring their Pokémon GO counterparts. This limited-time event lets trainers fully experience the Unova region's legendary Pokémon.
