The Pokémon TCG Pocket Lapras EX Drop Event: A Comprehensive Guide

Pokémon TCG Pocket constantly expands its card collection with new events introducing exciting variants and cards. This guide details the Lapras EX drop event, covering everything from event dates to optimal strategies.

Event Dates and Duration:

The Lapras EX drop event runs from November 5th to November 18th, 12:59 AM Eastern Time. Players can participate in special battles to acquire new card variants, including the coveted Lapras EX. Additional rewards like Pack Hourglasses (for opening more booster packs) are also available.

Event Participation:

Ensure your Pokémon TCG Pocket app is updated. Navigate to the Battles tab, select Solo, and choose the "Lapras EX Drop Event" category. Four AI battles await, each using a different Lapras EX deck. First-clear rewards are granted for each battle, with additional chance rewards obtainable through repeated battles.

Note: While all battles offer a Promo Pack as a chance reward, only the Expert battle guarantees it. All decks are Water-type, making a Lightning-type deck advantageous.

Event Hourglasses:

Event stamina, consumed per battle, replenishes every 12 hours (up to five). Event Hourglasses refill this stamina.

Recommended Decks and Strategies:

A Pikachu EX deck is highly effective due to the increased damage inflicted on Water-type Pokémon. Consider using Helioptile/Heliolisk or Magnemite/Magneton lines for less rare card challenges.

Promo Pack Rewards:

Promo Packs contain one card each: Mankey, Pikachu, Clefairy, Butterfree, and Lapras EX (a new variant). Lapras EX boasts 140 HP and the Bubble Drain attack (80 damage, 20 HP heal).
