Nvidia RTX 5090/5080 Preorders Open
The wait is over! Nvidia's GeForce RTX 50-series graphics cards are available for preorder, starting at 6 AM PT on January 30th. Leading the charge are the top-tier RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 GPUs, with the mid-range RTX 5070 and 5070 Ti following in February.
Be warned: Launch-day stock is expected to vanish quickly. Retailers have already cautioned about limited inventory, and past launches have been plagued by bots snapping up cards for resale at inflated prices. If you find one, don't hesitate! Pre-built PCs with the RTX 5090 might offer better availability, albeit at a premium.

Best Buy

Historically a good option for Nvidia Founders Edition cards, availability depends on your region. Best Buy's preorders often ship quickly.
Newegg

Offers a wide selection of AIB (third-party manufacturer) cards. Check for bundle deals if standalone cards are sold out. Ensure you buy directly from Newegg, not a marketplace vendor.
Nvidia Store

Founder's Edition cards are usually hard to find here. Check for potential invite-only sales.
Amazon

Finding cards directly from Amazon can be challenging. Beware of inflated prices from third-party sellers. Only buy from Amazon directly.
Adorama

Offers AIB cards and pre-built PCs. Shipping times may be longer than other retailers.
B&H Photo

Similar to Adorama, with potential longer shipping times.
Micro Center (In-Store)

Your best in-store option if you're nearby. Expect high demand.
RTX 5090 and 5080 Reviews
The RTX 50-series prioritizes AI features, particularly DLSS 4, which delivers significant performance boosts in compatible games. While offering modest performance gains over the 40-series in traditional gaming, the AI enhancements are a key differentiator.
Our reviews highlight that the performance uplift is smaller than in previous generations, but DLSS 4 significantly improves frame rates in supported titles.
