Netflix's gaming division appears to be facing challenges. Starting next month, the streaming giant will remove a significant portion of its mobile games library - approximately 20% of its current collection.

Netflix Games Removal Schedule

Mark your calendars: July 15, 2025 will see the disappearance of more than 20 games from Netflix's platform. Subscribers have until July 14 to enjoy these titles one last time.

The exiting selection covers a broad spectrum, including some relatively recent additions. Carmen Sandiego, for example, just joined the platform in January 2025.

Notable removals include the complete Monument Valley trilogy. Interestingly, Monument Valley 3 enjoyed a brief exclusive period on Netflix Games before becoming available elsewhere.

The purge affects critically acclaimed titles like Death's Door and Katana Zero, alongside indie darlings such as Braid Anniversary Edition and The Case of the Golden Idol series.

Family-friendly options like CoComelon: Play with JJ and licensed properties including Battleship and SpongeBob games are also being cut. Even Hades, currently iOS-exclusive through Netflix, is on the chopping block.

Other affected titles range from Dumb Ways to Die to Raji: An Ancient Epic, covering various genres and player demographics.

A Recurring Pattern

This latest wave of removals caps a difficult period for Netflix Games. The past nine months witnessed multiple cancellations, including anticipated titles like Don't Starve Together and Tales of the Shire.

The recent discontinuation of Netflix Stories came as a surprise, especially considering planned expansions tied to original Netflix content. These cuts follow a previous round of game removals in December and the closure of Netflix's AAA game studio last October.

Given this downward trend, the future of Netflix's gaming initiative appears uncertain. For now, subscribers can explore the remaining selection via the Google Play Store.
