MultiVersus game director Tony Huynh responded with a lengthy message, pleading with players to refrain from such behavior.

Huynh apologized to fans whose desired characters won't be added, expressing hope that they’ll find enjoyment in the final Season 5 content. He clarified that character selection involves numerous complex factors, and his personal influence is less than some players might believe.
