A second Open Beta Test is confirmed for the first two weeks of February, giving players another opportunity to experience Monster Hunter Wilds before its official launch on February 28th. Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto announced the news in a video on the official Monster Hunter YouTube channel.

The beta will run in two sessions: February 6th-9th and February 13th-16th, available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. This time, you can hunt the Gypceros, a returning favorite from the series—a thrilling addition not featured in the first beta.

Character data from the previous beta can be carried over and transferred to the full game, though progress won't be saved. As a thank you for participating, beta testers receive in-game rewards: a decorative Stuffed Felyne Teddy for your weapon or Seikret, plus a bonus item pack to aid your early game.

"Many players missed the first beta, or wanted another chance," Tsujimoto explained. "This second beta is for you. The team is hard at work finalizing the full game." While a pre-launch community update video detailed upcoming improvements, these changes won't be included in the second beta test.

Monster Hunter Wilds launches on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on February 28th, 2025. Get ready to hunt!
