Monster Hunter Now Launches Outbreak Mode
- Monster Hunter Now will soon launch a new Monster Outbreak feature
- Players will encounter massive numbers of a specific monster type in designated areas
- Collaborate with fellow hunters to eliminate target numbers of monsters and earn exclusive rewards
Calling all Monster Hunter Now enthusiasts – if you've found the current challenges insufficiently demanding, Niantic has responded to your requests. The upcoming Monster Outbreak event, undergoing testing from April 26th to 27th, is designed to challenge even veteran hunters.
While currently in trial phase, this testing period allows players to experience the new mechanic and share their impressions. As the name implies, Monster Outbreaks feature overwhelming numbers of a single monster species concentrated in specific locations. You'll need to be physically present within the area and form hunting parties (group participation mandatory) to confront these creatures.
The goal is straightforward: eliminate enough monsters to reach the 100-kill threshold. Use the event registration system to indicate your participation and claim an exclusive hunter medal, while successful outbreak completion grants various monster materials as loot.
CullingmonstersThe inaugural outbreak will feature eight-star Black Diablos as the target monster. As mentioned, you'll exclusively encounter this formidable opponent throughout the event duration. These outbreaks aim to refresh the standard gameplay loop while offering extended challenges for hunters seeking greater difficulties.
Remember to share your feedback about the feature through official community forums and social channels, as Niantic appears genuinely interested in determining whether Monster Outbreaks successfully enhance the game's intensity.
