Lego has unveiled a series of exciting new Minecraft Movie sets, launching ahead of the Jack Black-led live-action film. These sets offer intriguing glimpses into the movie's mob roster.

As reported by GamesRadar, two sets have been announced so far: the Woodland Mansion Fighting Ring and The Ghast Balloon Village Attack. These will join the existing range of standard Minecraft Lego sets, but will feature minifigures of key characters like Jack Black's Steve and Jason Momoa's Garbage Man.

The Woodland Mansion Fighting Ring ($49.99, 491 pieces) hints at a gladiator-style battle sequence in the film. The set depicts Momoa's character battling a zombie riding a giant chicken. The scale is unclear—it's approximately twice the height of the Garbage Man minifigure. Whether this is a regular-sized chicken with a baby zombie or a giant chicken with a regular zombie remains to be seen.

The set also includes Steve, Henry, a giant zombie pigman, a fighting ring, a treasure chest, and a small viewing stand with weapons.

The Ghast Balloon Village Attack set ($69.99, 555 pieces) confirms the appearance of the Nether's ghast villain in a large-scale battle scene within a regular overworld village. This set includes a villager minifigure, two piglins, Steve, Natalie, Dawn, and an iron golem.

Both sets launch on March 1st, a month before The Minecraft Movie hits theaters on April 4th.

The film's September reveal sparked immediate criticism from fans, who pointed out a perceived disconnect between the live-action characters and the CGI-animated world. One fan even created a fully animated recreation of the trailer.

In November, the director and producer addressed this criticism to IGN, stating they were "ready for everything."
