Microsoft unveils the Xbox Game Pass January 2025 Wave 2 lineup, a diverse collection of titles arriving throughout the month. This announcement precedes Microsoft's Xbox Developer Direct on January 23rd, promising a showcase of day-one Game Pass releases, including Doom: The Dark Ages, South of Midnight, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, and a yet-to-be-revealed fourth game.

The wave begins January 21st with Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S), a day-one launch for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. Players can conquer snowy slopes solo or cooperatively with up to eight players via cross-platform multiplayer.

January 22nd brings a flurry of additions: Flock (Console) joins Game Pass Standard, offering cooperative multiplayer flight and creature collection; Gigantic: Rampage Edition (Cloud, Console, and PC) arrives on Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard as a definitive edition of the 5v5 MOBA hero shooter; Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess (Console), a Japanese-inspired action strategy game, launches on Game Pass Standard; Magical Delicacy (Console) and The Case of the Golden Idol (Console) also debut on Game Pass Standard; Tchia (Xbox Series X|S) makes its Game Pass Standard debut; and Starbound (Cloud and Console) expands its Game Pass presence to Ultimate and Standard, following its PC Game Pass release.

The wave continues January 28th with two day-one releases: Eternal Strands (Cloud, Console, and PC), a fantasy action-adventure from Yellow Brick Games, for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass; and Orcs Must Die! Deathtrap (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S), a third-person shooter and trap defense game, also for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.

January 29th sees Shady Part of Me (Cloud, Console, and PC) join Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard, offering a poignant puzzle adventure.

A significant addition arrives January 30th: Sniper Elite: Resistance (Cloud, Console, and PC), a day-one release on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, bringing the award-winning sniping series to occupied France.

Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S), a highly anticipated RPG sequel, launches day-one on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass on January 31st.

Finally, Far Cry New Dawn (Cloud, Console, and PC) concludes the wave on February 4th, available on Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard.
