First Hands-On Demo at EVO 2025

MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls will debut its first playable demo at EVO 2025, held from August 1-3 at the Las Vegas Convention Center West Hall. This eagerly awaited tag-team fighter will be featured at the Arc System Works booth.

In a PlayStation.blog announcement on July 22, PlayStation XDEV Senior Producer Reed Baird provided details about the public demo. Players will have access to six characters: Captain America, Iron Man, Storm, Star-Lord, Ms. Marvel, and Doctor Doom, allowing them to assemble their own four-person dream team from the roster.

The demo will also include the New York City battle stage, which premiered in the game's initial trailer. Attendees who try out the game will receive an exclusive collectible pin.

Developer Combat Panel Offers Gameplay Insights

During EVO 2025, developers from Arc System Works and Marvel Games will host a Developer Combat Panel on August 1 at 8:00 PM PT on the Evo Showcase Stage. According to their announcement, they will reveal more about the game's core mechanics.

The panel will be livestreamed on the official EVO Events YouTube channel. Director Kazuto "Pachi" Sekine expressed gratitude for the positive reception following the game's reveal and encouraged fans to watch the EVO panel for additional details.

He stated, "My goal is to 'Assemble' with players and create an incredible game together. We're experimenting with many new ideas to deliver a fresh experience. I'm eager to hear your feedback and thoughts."

Following its unexpected announcement at the PlayStation State of Play in June 2025, fans have been captivated by its innovative 4v4 mechanics, especially given its development by a top fighting game studio and use of the beloved Marvel IP.
