NetEase Games is committed to keeping Marvel Rivals players engaged with regular updates. The development team plans to roll out updates approximately every month and a half, introducing two new heroes every quarter. This consistent influx of fresh content ensures that players always have new elements to explore upon returning to the game.

In a recent interview, game director Guangyun Chen explained that each seasonal update is divided into two phases: the first half of the season introduces one new hero, while the second half brings in another. This approach keeps both the audience and the players actively engaged. Alongside new heroes, Marvel Rivals will also feature updates that include new maps, storylines, and objectives.

Among the characters already announced, Blade, who is yet to be playable, and Altron, whose inclusion was leaked, have generated excitement. Additionally, the entire Fantastic Four team has been recently unveiled, further expanding the roster of heroes available in the game.

According to the Chinese publication GameLook, Marvel Rivals has generated approximately $100 million globally, with significant contributions from the Chinese market. Marvel, a powerhouse in the film industry, has made a bold move into the gaming sector with this title.

Despite the disappointing experience with Square Enix's Avengers, Marvel Rivals successfully filled a void in the game-service genre. The NetEase studio delivered a high-quality heroic shooter featuring a diverse array of compelling characters, which was well-received at its launch.
