MapleStory Worlds is now available on mobile and PC in the Americas and Europe
MapleStory Worlds, the latest addition to the popular Nexon franchise, is now officially launching in the Americas and Europe for both mobile and PC! Following a soft launch in late 2024, this new title offers a unique twist on the classic MapleStory experience.
Think of MapleStory Worlds as MapleStory-themed Roblox. Players can utilize a range of tools, from basic to advanced, to craft their own side-scrolling adventures. Whether you prefer classic RPGs, action-packed shooters, or simply socializing with others, the possibilities are vast.
A key feature is cross-platform play between mobile and PC devices. While Nexon highlights monetization opportunities for creators, the core appeal for many will likely be the chance to recreate beloved MapleStory moments using enhanced tools.
A World of Your Own Making
While intrigued, I also harbor some reservations about MapleStory Worlds. The game's charming pixel art is undoubtedly a strong point, yet widespread fan enthusiasm hasn't been overwhelmingly apparent.
However, the diverse range of experiences promised, from platformers to zombie survival games, might broaden its appeal as a standalone platform. Only time will tell how well it's received in its full launch.
