Star Wars Celebration unveiled thrilling new details for an upcoming The Mandalorian and Grogu-themed update arriving at Millennium Falcon: Smuggler's Run alongside the latest film. Highlights include Engineers being able to care for Grogu directly, plus a visit to Coruscant as a fourth destination in this choose-your-own-adventure storyline, joining Tatooine, Bespin, and Endor.

Launching on May 22, 2026, this fresh experience follows "a different path" than The Mandalorian & Grogu movie while still showcasing Din Djarin and Grogu in novel ways. In the new plot, Hondo Ohnaka "spots a deal between former Imperial officers and pirates on Tatooine, sparking a high-stakes galactic chase. Guests will join forces with Mando and Grogu to track down targets and claim rewards across this dynamic adventure."

Although full details are still emerging, we know Engineers will take on a significantly larger role as they look after Grogu. What could be more delightful?

To get the scoop, we spoke with Walt Disney Imagineering's Asa Kalama, who shared insights into what visitors can expect:

"Throughout the mission, Engineers will have chances to communicate directly with Grogu," explained Kalama. "It promises to be incredibly fun. There may be moments when Mando leaves the Razor Crest and Grogu, left unsupervised, gets playful on the control panel. We love these charming vignettes where you're chatting with Grogu over the comm."

Regarding the branching narrative elements, Kalama noted there will be "a pivotal moment where time is running short and guests must make a rapid decision about which bounty to pursue first. This inciting incident determines your destination route."
