LEGO Announces a Jurassic Park T-Rex Skeleton Set That’s Over 3 Feet Long
LEGO has unveiled its most ambitious Jurassic World set yet: a colossal T-Rex skeleton stretching over three feet long! This impressive build includes minifigures of Dr. Ellie Sattler and Dr. Alan Grant, iconic characters from the original Jurassic Park film, perfectly recreating the visitor center scene. Priced at $249.99, this collector's item will be available on the LEGO Store starting March 12th for LEGO Insiders (free sign-up available here) and March 15th for everyone else.

LEGO Jurassic World Dinosaur Fossils: Tyrannosaurus Rex
- Price: $249.99 at the LEGO Store
- Release Date: March 15th (March 12th for Insiders)
- Pieces: 3,145
- Ages: 18+
- Dimensions: L: 105cm (41.3in) / H: 33cm (12.9in)
This 3,145-piece set is designed for adult builders (18+), ideal for display rather than active play. It incorporates advanced building techniques, making it a challenging and rewarding experience. The sheer scale of this set is truly impressive; while images may not fully capture its size, the inclusion of Dr. Grant and Dr. Sattler minifigures helps illustrate its imposing three-foot length. The skull is strikingly similar to the currently available LEGO T-Rex skull set (a personal favorite, having been built by my son!). However, the complete skeleton elevates the overall impact significantly.

The articulated joints allow for dynamic posing – move the head, open the jaw, and adjust the arms and tail to your liking. Like many movie-themed LEGO sets, this one includes fun Easter eggs to discover during construction. A display stand and informational plaque detailing the T-Rex's diet, habitat, and other facts are also included.

While LEGO's Jurassic World collection is still growing, and not yet as extensive as their Star Wars or Harry Potter lines, this impressive T-Rex skeleton is a fantastic addition, and hopefully a sign of more high-quality adult-oriented LEGO sets to come.
