Iconic Bethesda voice actor Wes Johnson, known for his roles in games like The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim, Fallout 3, and Starfield, was discovered in a dire condition in his hotel room last week. His family is now reaching out to fans for support during this challenging time. According to PC Gamer, Johnson's wife, Kim, along with other family members, has initiated a GoFundMe campaign to help cover his medical expenses and other bills while he is unable to work. The family shared that Wes is currently fighting for his life in an intensive care unit.

Johnson had traveled to Atlanta to host a benefit event for the National Alzheimer’s Foundation on January 22. However, he never made it to the event. When he failed to appear, his wife Kim tried frantically to reach him. It was only after hotel security entered his room that he was found unconscious and barely alive, with emergency medical technicians struggling to find a pulse.

The GoFundMe page set an initial goal of $50,000, but the outpouring of support has been overwhelming, with the campaign raising $144,791 from 2,200 donors so far. Beyond his notable contributions to video games, Johnson has served as the public address announcer for the Washington Capitals for 25 years and has appeared in numerous film and television roles.

In the gaming world, Johnson's voice has been a staple in Bethesda titles. His most recent role was as Ron Hope in Starfield. He has also voiced iconic characters such as the Prince of Madness Sheogorath and Lucien Lachance in The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion, three Daedric Princes (Boethiah, Malacath, and Molag Bal) in The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind, Fawkes and Mister Burke in Fallout 3, Hermaeus Mora and Emperor Titus Mede II in Skyrim, and Moe Cronin in Fallout 4, among others.
