Kubfu Acquisition Guide in Pokemon GO
Even though Pokemon Day 2025 has passed, The Pokemon Company continues to delight its fans with exciting new content. One such surprise is the latest event in *Pokemon GO* that introduces an adorable yet formidable Pokemon to the mix. Here's your guide on how to capture Kubfu in *Pokemon GO*.
How To Catch Kubfu in Pokemon GO
The Might and Mastery event is currently underway in Pokemon GO, bringing with it a host of new features and, most notably, the debut of the Wushu Pokemon. Since its initial introduction in the Pokemon Sword and Shield DLC, fans have been eagerly awaiting Kubfu and its evolution, Urshifu, to join the ranks of Pokemon GO. Now, the wait is over, and players can embark on a series of tasks to add Kubfu to their collection.
To start your journey to catch Kubfu, navigate to the Special Research tab and locate the "Might and Mastery" section. Here, you'll find the following challenges waiting for you:
**Research Task** | **Reward** |
Explore 3 km | 15 Poke Balls |
Defeat 3 Team GO Rocket members | 5 Revives |
Use a super effective Charged Attack | Use a super effective Charged Attack |
Completing all three tasks will summon Kubfu for you to capture, and you'll also earn 891 XP as you add this powerful Pokemon to your roster. Remember, this Special Research is only available until Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at 9:59 AM local time, so don't miss your chance to catch Kubfu.
Can You Catch More Than One Kubfu in Pokemon GO?
For those who crave more than one Kubfu, Pokemon GO has you covered with the Paid Special Research – Fuzzy Fighter pass. For $8, you can access additional research tasks and have the chance to catch a second Kubfu. The pass comes with several enticing rewards:
- One Incense
- Two Premium Battle Passes
- One Star Piece
- Encounters with Season-themed Pokémon
- A rare encounter with a Dynamax Kubfu
However, the Fuzzy Fighter pass is only available for purchase until March 10, 2025, at 10 AM local time. Once purchased, the tasks won't disappear, giving you more time to complete them at your leisure.
Can You Evolve Kubfu in Pokemon GO?
While Kubfu's charm is undeniable, competitive players might be curious about evolving it into Urshifu. As of now, it seems that evolving Kubfu into Urshifu isn't possible in Pokemon GO, but future updates could change this, especially considering Urshifu's appearance on the Might and Mastery event loading screen.
That's all you need to know about getting Kubfu in Pokemon GO. If you're looking for more ways to enhance your game experience, check out the free item promo codes available for the mobile game in March 2025.
Pokemon GO is available now on mobile devices.
