Krysten Ritter Returns as Jessica Jones in Daredevil S2
Krysten Ritter confirms her comeback as Jessica Jones in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2.
Variety reports that Ritter's reprisal of Marvel's hardboiled detective was announced during Disney's Upfront presentation in New York. This confirmation ends months of speculation about Netflix's Defenders characters potentially crossing over into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Ritter appeared alongside Daredevil star Charlie Cox to share her enthusiasm about Jessica Jones' return.
"Returning to Jessica after three seasons and The Defenders feels incredible," Ritter stated. "I'm thrilled to reintroduce this iconic character to the MCU. Without spoiling anything, fans can expect exciting developments for Jessica Jones in what promises to be an amazing season."

Ritter first embodied the New York-based superhero when Jessica Jones debuted on Netflix in 2015. Following two additional seasons and The Defenders crossover series, hopes dimmed for Ritter's return after Netflix concluded its Marvel productions.
The tide turned in 2021 when Disney reacquired rights to several characters including Jessica Jones. As Cox made his MCU comeback through Spider-Man: No Way Home and Daredevil: Born Again, speculation grew about other Netflix heroes returning. With Punisher playing a key role in Season 1, Ritter's Season 2 appearance follows logically.
Ritter last appeared as Jessica Jones in 2019's third season. Her recent tease hints at future MCU appearances, but viewers can definitely expect her in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2. While Disney hasn't announced a release date, showrunner Dario Scardapane indicates more episodes will arrive by March 2026.
