Exciting news for Disney fans! The Lion King ride is set to make its grand debut at Disneyland Paris, with new images, details, and a construction start date slated for Fall 2025. According to Disney Parks Blog, this will be the first-ever land and attraction dedicated to The Lion King, transforming the Walt Disney Studios Park into the newly named Disney Adventure World. This thrilling new water ride will immerse guests in the iconic moments from the beloved 1994 film, featuring a towering 120-foot-high Pride Rock and a host of dining, shopping, character meet-and-greets, and more.

A newly released concept image showcases Audio-Animatronics of young Simba, Timon, and Pumbaa enjoying a feast of grubs amidst a lush jungle setting. This is just one highlight of the ride, which will also include an exhilarating 52-foot drop, slightly taller than Tiana's Bayou Adventure by two inches.

While the exact opening date remains under wraps, the ride is expected to follow the grand opening of World of Frozen in 2026. The Lion King ride is part of the expansive Disney Adventure World, which will double the current park's size.

In addition to World of Frozen and The Lion King ride, Disney Adventure World will feature the previously announced Raiponce Tangled Spin ride, with Mandy Moore reprising her role as Rapunzel. Guests can also look forward to the park's first-ever attraction themed after Up, a "spinning carousel" offering breathtaking views of the park's stunning scenery.

The World Premiere entrance, set to open on May 15, 2025, will welcome visitors into Disney Adventure World with a Hollywood-inspired "glamorous premiere" experience. The World Premiere Plaza, drawing inspiration from Broadway and the West End, will house theaters showcasing performances like TOGETHER: A Pixar Musical Adventure, Mickey and the Magician, and Frozen: A Musical Invitation.
