Hoshimi Miyabi helped Zenless Zone Zero set a new revenue record

HoYoverse's mobile hit, Zenless Zone Zero, continues its impressive market performance. The recent 1.4 update, titled "And the Starfall Came," propelled the game to a record-breaking $8.6 million in daily mobile player spending, surpassing even its launch day revenue in July 2024.

According to AppMagic, Zenless Zone Zero's cumulative mobile revenue has now exceeded $265 million. Update 1.4's success is attributed to the introduction of new characters like Hoshimi Miyabi and Asaba Harumasa, alongside enhanced gameplay mechanics, new areas, and game modes, all incentivizing increased player spending.

The free availability of Harumasa as a promotional character, coupled with a gacha banner featuring Hoshimi Miyabi, significantly contributed to this record revenue.

The 1.4 update's impact on player engagement proved exceptionally long-lasting. Unlike typical post-update spending dips after a week, Zenless Zone Zero maintained daily revenues above $1 million for over 11 consecutive days, and even surpassed $500,000 per day two weeks post-update.

While undeniably successful, Zenless Zone Zero's revenue still trails behind HoYoverse's flagship titles, Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail.
