While Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered prioritizes action gameplay, it also offers extensive weapon and outfit customization. You can tailor outfits for stealth, melee combat, or ranged attacks. However, combining the effects of multiple outfits is possible, though with limitations. This guide explains how.

Remastered Version of Horizon Zero Dawn Required

Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered The ability to utilize the effects of two outfits is exclusive to *Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered*. A recent patch introduced a transmog feature, letting you retain one outfit's stats and effects while visually wearing another. This eliminates the need to sacrifice appearance for optimal stats.

Pre-Requisite for the Two Outfit Method

Banuk Werak Outfits This technique isn't universal; it requires one specific type of outfit. While your primary outfit can be any you choose, the secondary outfit must be one of the following:
  • Banuk Werak Runner
  • Banuk Werak Chieftain
  • Banuk Werak Chieftain Adept (New Game Plus only)

This method isn't available early in the game, as these outfits are located within the Frozen Wilds DLC. However, you don't need to complete the main game to access this DLC area.

How to Get Banuk Werak Outfits in Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered

Banuk Werak Runner

Reach the Frozen Wilds expansion area by defeating the introductory machine. If struggling, adjust the difficulty or upgrade your gear. Once there, find a Bluegleam Merchant (marked by a blue merchant icon) and purchase the Banuk Werak Runner outfit.

Banuk Werak Chieftain & Banuk Werak Chieftain Adept

For the superior Banuk Werak Chieftain outfit, complete the "For the Werak" quest (the third main quest in Frozen Wilds). This mission is challenging; consider lowering the difficulty to Story mode if needed. The Adept version is acquired similarly, but only in New Game Plus.

After obtaining your second outfit, you can stop Frozen Wilds progression if desired.

What to Do to Get the Effects of Two Outfits

Two Outfit Method First, equip your desired outfit—the one with the stats you want (remember, Weaves can enhance stats). Then, use the transmog feature to apply the appearance of one of the three Banuk Werak outfits. While these outfits don't provide additional stats, they offer automatic healing after taking damage.

This combines the stats of your chosen outfit with the auto-healing perk from the Banuk Werak outfit. With a Shield Weaver as your primary outfit, you'll become exceptionally resilient. The Chieftain and Chieftain Adept outfits offer significantly faster healing than the Runner.
