Exciting news for fans of Split Fiction—the acclaimed co-op action adventure is set to hit the big screen. According to Variety, the film rights are in high demand, with "multiple top Hollywood studios" vying for the opportunity to bring this spectacular game to life. Story Kitchen, a media company renowned for its expertise in adapting games and other non-traditional properties into films and TV shows, is currently assembling a package deal that includes the project's writers, director, and cast. This is the same team that successfully handled the upcoming film adaptation of Hazelight Studios' previous hit, It Takes Two. Story Kitchen, formerly known as dj2 Entertainment, has an impressive portfolio that includes the Sonic the Hedgehog films and Netflix's Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft. While further details remain under wraps, the anticipation is palpable.

Adding to the excitement, Split Fiction has already achieved remarkable success, selling over two million copies in its first week on sale. IGN's review praised the game as an "unmissable co-op adventure" that remains "fabulously fresh for its full, 14-hour duration." This accolade underscores the game's innovative gameplay and enduring appeal.

In other news from Hazelight Studios, director Josef Fares recently confirmed that the team is already hard at work on their next game, promising more thrilling experiences for fans in the future.
