Helldivers 2 Update 01.000.403: Patch Notes and Resolved Issues
Arrowhead Game Studios has released Helldivers 2 patch 01.000.403, primarily addressing a critical crash bug linked to the FAF-14 Spear weapon. This update also includes a comprehensive suite of bug fixes designed to enhance overall gameplay stability and polish.
The patch tackles several crash issues, including one triggered by aiming the Spear and another occurring during launch cutscenes with unique Hellpod patterns. A significant improvement is the global rollout of Japanese voiceovers for both PS5 and PC platforms, expanding language accessibility for players.
Furthermore, the update addresses various miscellaneous bugs:
- Text Fixes: Resolved corrupted text issues, particularly affecting Traditional Chinese characters.
- Weapon Functionality: Corrected Plasma Punisher firing issues with the SH-32 and FX-12 Shield Generator Packs. Quasar cannon heat management now accurately reflects hot and cold planet conditions. The Spore Spewer's visual glitch (appearing purple on certain planets) has been fixed, along with the removal of pink question marks appearing in missions.
- Gameplay Improvements: The Peak Physique armor passive now correctly impacts weapon ergonomics. The issue where available Operations reset after reconnection due to inactivity has been resolved.
While many issues have been addressed, some remain under active development:
- Friend Requests: In-game friend requests via friend codes are currently non-functional.
- Reward Delays: Delays in Medal and Super Credit payouts may still occur.
- Invisible Mines: Deployed mines might become invisible, despite remaining active.
- Weapon Inconsistencies: Arc weapons may exhibit inconsistent behavior and misfires. Most weapons fire below the crosshair when aiming down sights.
- Career Tab Reset: The mission count in the Career tab resets to zero after each game restart.
- Outdated Descriptions: Some weapon descriptions are outdated and do not reflect current designs. Additional known issues include problems with joining games, the placement of players in the "Recent Players" list, enemies not progressing Personal Orders and Eradicate missions, stratagem beam deployment, the functionality of certain ship modules ("Hand Carts" and "Superior Packing Methodology"), Bile Titan head damage, player loadout issues when joining in-progress games, reinforcement availability, planet liberation percentages, and the progress bar for the "Raise Flag of Super Earth" objective.
Patch 01.000.403 is now available. Arrowhead Game Studios continues to actively gather player feedback and work diligently on resolving outstanding issues.
