Redditor InfiniteNightZ shared a video showcasing what seem to be Hara-Kiri Fatalities in Mortal Kombat 1. For those unfamiliar, a Hara-Kiri finisher, which debuted in Mortal Kombat: Deception back in 2004, involves the losing player performing a self-Fatality.

This suggests that these animations might be included in an upcoming update for Mortal Kombat 1, rather than being discarded. Furthermore, InfiniteNightZ hinted that these Hara-Kiri animations might be introduced as Quitalities, as they are referenced in the game's code. Quitalities are swift finishers that activate when a player exits a multiplayer match prematurely, a feature seen in previous Mortal Kombat titles. "They are listed as Quitalities, there's still hope," InfiniteNightZ remarked about the animations.
