Pokémon Center Hiroshima will cease operations at its current site by late March, with plans to relocate and reopen around April 2025. In parallel, the nearby Gyarados Plaza is scheduled to launch in March, as detailed on the store’s official website.

The new store will be situated on the second floor of Ekie, near the north exit of Hiroshima Station, with an anticipated opening around April 2025. Originally established in June 2015, Pokémon Center Hiroshima currently occupies the sixth floor of the Sogo Hiroshima Main Building, adjacent to the RIHGA Royal Hotel and opposite the Hiroshima Prefectural Office.

Meanwhile, "Gyarados Plaza by Pokémon Center Hiroshima" is set to open on the rooftop of Soramoa Plaza, located within the new Hiroshima Station building known as Minamoa. According to the Pokémon website, this unique space is designed as "a plaza where visitors of all ages can engage with Pokémon in their own way, featuring expansive play equipment modeled after Gyarados, the symbolic Pokémon of Pokémon Center Hiroshima."

Gyarados Plaza will officially open on March 24, 2025. For an initial period following its launch, advance reservations will be required to access the playground equipment. Further details will be shared via the official Minamoa website.

If you plan to visit Hiroshima, the store operates from 10:00 AM to 7:30 PM, seven days a week.

Nationwide Poke-lun TV Event in Japan

Before its temporary closure, Pokémon Centers across Japan, including the Hiroshima location, will host a nationwide event celebrating "Poke-lun TV," which has surpassed one million subscribers.

Fans can receive an exclusive sticker at any participating store by obtaining a password from the "Poke-lun TV" YouTube video posted on December 19, 2024. Present this password to staff at a Pokémon Center to claim your special gift.

Additionally, Pokémon Center Mega Tokyo, Osaka, and Okinawa will feature Poke-lun TV studio-style photo opportunities with the channel’s iconic hosts, including Takkun, Tokichan, Ha-chan, Tai-chan, and Riri-chan.

The event runs from January 17, 2025, to February 16, 2025. If you visit any Pokémon Center in Japan during this time, don’t miss your chance to get a free original sticker or snap a photo with your favorite Poke-lun TV personality.

Please note that this event is not available at the Pokémon Store, Pokémon Center Online, Pokémon Cafe, or Pikachu Sweets by Pokémon Cafe.
