"Guide to Obtaining the Auto-Petter in Fields of Mistria"
Owning livestock in *Fields of Mistria* can be a lucrative way to earn money, but the daily task of petting them can become tedious. Fortunately, there's a solution to this problem: installing an auto-petter on your farm. However, since the base version of *Fields of Mistria* does not include an auto-petter, you will need to turn to mods to automate this task.
Fields of Mistria Auto-Petter Guide
If you're looking to streamline your farm management, the Animal Friends mod by annanomoly on Nexus Mods is the way to go. This mod not only adds an auto-petter feature but also includes an auto-feeder for your livestock. To get started, you'll need to use the Mods of Mistria Installer, a necessary tool to activate the mod. Skipping this step will prevent the mod from working correctly.
Here’s how to install the mod:
- Create a new folder named "Mods" in your *Fields of Mistria* directory.
- Download the AnimalFriends.zip file and place it into the Mods folder.
- Extract the contents of the zip file within the Mods folder.
- Delete or move the original zip file to another location.
- Run the Mods of Mistria Installer to finalize the installation of the mod.
The Animal Friends mod comes with several customizable features. In addition to the auto-petter, you can enable an auto-feeder, a friendship multiplier, and a feature to prevent friendship loss. The friendship multiplier increases the number of hearts your animals have, while the prevent friendship loss feature ensures that the hearts you've gained won't diminish.
To tweak these settings, locate the AnimalFriends.json file within the mod folder. This file is a simple text document where you can activate features by changing "false" to "true." For example, to enable the auto-petter, modify the setting to ["auto-pet": true]. To disable a feature, simply change "true" back to "false."
The friendship multiplier setting is adjusted differently. Instead of toggling between true and false, you enter a number between 1 and 100. Setting it to the maximum number can significantly boost your bonding with animals, while setting it to 1 will disable the feature.
Upon initial installation, the mod comes with default settings where the auto-pet and auto-feed functions are not automatically active. However, it does set the friendship multiplier to five and activates the prevent friendship loss feature by default.
If you decide to remove the mod, don’t just delete the mod folder. Instead, use the Mods of Mistria Installer to properly uninstall it, which helps prevent any corruption or errors in your save file.
That’s all you need to know about setting up an auto-petter in *Fields of Mistria*. Remember to back up your save file before installing the mod to ensure stability and safety. *Fields of Mistria* is available to play on PC.
