If you're anxious about potential delays for Grand Theft Auto VI, take a moment to breathe easy. The gaming world's most eagerly awaited title is still slated for a fall release this year. This assurance came directly from Take-Two's recent financial presentation. Additionally, fans of the Borderlands series have something to look forward to, as Borderlands 4 is also confirmed for release this year, though specific dates are yet to be announced.

Take-Two’s CEO, Strauss Zelnick, has emphasized that despite the scheduled fall launch, Rockstar Games is adopting a meticulous approach to the development of GTA VI. This cautious strategy echoes the careful development timeline seen with previous blockbuster titles such as GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2, suggesting that additional time might be needed.

Zelnick also mentioned that while precise release dates will be shared at the appropriate time, the fall window remains the target, despite swirling rumors of a possible shift to 2026.

Take-Two is optimistic about 2025, anticipating it to be a landmark year. They project that Grand Theft Auto VI preorders alone could generate over $1 billion, setting an ambitious goal for what promises to be an exceptionally ambitious project.
