If you love the Pony/Horse Girl anime, you’ll be elated to hear this one. Cygames has finally confirmed that Uma Musume Pretty Derby, the racing simulation game, is getting an English version. There’s a Japanese version already which has pretty great reviews.

For those new to the world of Uma Musume Pretty Derby, let me give you the lowdown. The game is part of a multimedia project that includes anime, manga and more. The franchise has built a massive following, thanks largely to the hit anime series.

The game was originally launched in February 2021 for Android and iOS in Japan and Asia. The story revolves around horse girls, who are essentially racehorses reincarnated as girls in a parallel universe. They aim to become top idols while competing in the ‘Twinkle Series,’ a national sports entertainment show.

Although the game hasn’t seen a global release yet, characters like Gold Ship from Team Spica, have made appearances in globally released games such as Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising. Once the Uma Musume English version drops, you can be sure to spot more such global crossovers.
