PlayStation Productions Unveils Slate of Game Adaptations at CES 2025

PlayStation Productions made a significant splash at CES 2025, announcing several new game adaptations slated for release in 2025 and beyond. The announcements, made on January 7th, 2025, included a diverse range of projects spanning film and television.

New Adaptations Announced:

• Ghost of Tsushima: Legends (Anime Series): A new anime series based on the Ghost of Tsushima multiplayer mode, Legends, is in production with Crunchyroll and Aniplex. Directed by Takanobu Mizumo, with story composition by Gen Urobuchi, and music by Sony Music, the series is set to premiere exclusively on Crunchyroll in 2027.

• Horizon Zero Dawn (Film): Sony Pictures will produce a film adaptation of the popular Horizon Zero Dawn game.

• Helldivers 2 (Film): Columbia Pictures is set to produce a film adaptation of Helldivers 2. Details on both the Horizon and Helldivers films remain scarce.

• Until Dawn (Film): A film adaptation of Until Dawn is slated for release on April 25, 2025.

• The Last of Us Season Two (TV Series): Neil Druckmann revealed a new trailer for the second season of The Last of Us, which will adapt the storyline from The Last of Us Part II, introducing characters like Abby and Dina.
