The Getaway, a thrilling limited-time mode from *Fortnite*'s Chapter 1 Season 5, makes a triumphant return in Chapter 6 Season 2! Here's your guide to joining the heist and how long the fun lasts.
Playing The Getaway in *Fortnite*
Jumping into The Getaway is easy. Launch Fortnite on your preferred platform, head to the Lobby, and select "Discover." Locate The Getaway and hit "Play" to start queuing. If you're having trouble finding it, use the search bar in the top-left corner of the Lobby and type "The Getaway."
What Is The Getaway?
The Getaway is a high-stakes PvP mode where teams race to snatch a jewel and escape with a Getaway Van. It's a frantic scramble against other teams all vying for the same prize. The first three teams to successfully escape with a jewel win, but eliminating opposing teams also contributes to victory. This time around, enjoy the heist in Zero Build mode for a building-free experience, and choose your preferred team size: Duos, Squads, Unranked, or Ranked.
The Getaway Start and End Dates
The Getaway is currently live in Fortnite, but this exhilarating adventure ends April 1st at 12 a.m. Eastern Time. Don't miss out! Earn valuable XP towards your Battle Pass progression while it's available.
