Formovie Episode One Review: Top-Tier Projection?

Jan 17,26

At Droid Gamers, we receive plenty of tech gadgets, but a projector was a first. The Formovie Episode One caught our attention as a budget-friendly option for streaming mobile games on a larger screen.

While most projectors break the bank, this model delivers impressive value despite a few minor drawbacks. The package includes the projector itself, a remote (batteries sold separately), power cable, and manual. Though not as heavy as premium models, its 3-pound frame makes it genuinely portable.

The connectivity options are basic - one USB-A port, an HDMI input, and an audio jack - but adequate for its price point. Performance-wise, the 150 ISO lumen output won't dazzle you in daylight, but creates crisp visuals in darker environments.

During testing, movies, shows, and streamed games all appeared sharp when projected from at least 10 feet away. The built-in speaker delivers passable audio, though we recommend pairing with external speakers for better sound quality.

Where the Episode One shines is its intuitive interface. The streamlined setup outperforms many complicated premium models we've tested. While it won't replace high-end projectors, this device offers casual users an excellent entry point into big-screen entertainment.

As a limited-time offer until May 27th, each Episode One purchase includes a $15/€15 Netflix gift card. Visit the product page for details.
