Square Enix's Foamstars Launches Free-to-Play on October 4th
No More PlayStation Plus Subscription Needed
In a recent support page update, Square Enix announced that Foamstars, its premium 4v4 shooter, will transition to a free-to-play model. This also removes the requirement for a PlayStation Plus subscription to play. Currently priced at $29.99 for PS4 and PS5, Foamstars will be available for free download and play starting October 4th, 2024, at 1:00 a.m. UTC.
A "Legacy Gift" awaits players who purchased Foamstars before the switch. This exclusive bundle contains:
- 12 unique Bubble Beastie skins with varying colors
- 1 special Slide Board design
- 1 exclusive title: "Legacy"
