Consider getting a desk frame here and the desktop surface elsewhere

I own three standing desks. One came with a desktop, but for the other two, I opted for custom surfaces. I bought a 74"x26" maple veneered countertop from Ikea for $199 for one, and a 48"x25" solid wood countertop from Home Depot for the other, which I finished myself. These options are excellent, and there are many more to choose from. The key is that Flexispot's standing desk bases are versatile enough to accommodate various desktops, as long as they're within the weight limits.
