The PC version of the game boasts superior visuals and stability compared to its PS5 counterpart, prompting widespread community discussion regarding a much-needed PS5 update.

The PS5 version currently suffers from blurry visuals in performance mode, leaving base console owners with little recourse but to await future patches. Game director Naoki Hamaguchi acknowledges the possibility of improvements, stating that enhancements are feasible within the PS5's technical constraints. He commented, "Following the PC version's promotional release, we've received numerous requests for a similar PS5 update, and we intend to explore this possibility, considering the PS5 version's performance limitations."

Fans eagerly anticipate Square Enix's response to these requests and hope for enhanced console visuals.

While the team is diligently working on the sequel, Hamaguchi requests patience from fans, promising further details at a later date. He highlights 2024 as a successful year for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, the second game in the trilogy, noting its global recognition and award wins. Interestingly, Hamaguchi also expressed his admiration for Grand Theft Auto VI, acknowledging the immense pressure on the Rockstar Games team due to GTA V's phenomenal success.
