Feb 11,25

Indie game developer Sander Frenken has unveiled his upcoming RTS-lite game, Battledom, currently in Alpha testing. Serving as a spiritual successor to his 2020 title, Herodom, Battledom represents roughly two years of part-time development. Frenken describes it as a closer realization of his original vision for Herodom.

Battledom features dynamic RTS combat, allowing players to freely maneuver units across the battlefield. Players directly target enemies and manually operate siege weapons for devastating attacks. Strategic formations enhance the gameplay experience.

Players build their armies using in-game currency, starting with basic, unequipped units. Customization is key; players equip units with various weapons and armor pieces, each impacting stats like range, accuracy, defense, and attack power.

Quarry with stones in buckets and an elevator lifting a bucket of stoneResource gathering and crafting are central to progression. Players collect resources like wood, leather, and coal within their village to craft items at the blacksmith, magician, or other specialized crafters.

Frenken's previous success, Herodom, enjoys a 4.6 App Store rating. Boasting over 55 collectible heroes, 150+ units and siege weapons, and historically-inspired battles, Herodom also offers unlockable hairstyles, bodies, crops, and farm animals.

Interested players can participate in the Battledom Alpha via TestFlight on iOS. For updates and further information, follow Sander Frenken on X (formerly Twitter) or Reddit. His other games are available on the App Store.
