The anticipation for Dune: Awakening, the upcoming survival MMO, is reaching fever pitch thanks to the success of Denis Villeneuve's films. Thankfully, the wait is almost over! Developer Funcom has announced the official PC release date: May 20th. Console players will need to wait a bit longer, but for now, PC gamers can feast their eyes on the recently released gameplay trailer.

The trailer showcases the breathtaking desert landscapes, intense combat sequences, crucial base-building mechanics, and of course, the awe-inspiring sandworms—all the elements you'd expect from a true Dune experience.

Players will step into the boots of a prisoner exiled to the harsh planet of Arrakis. Their journey begins with a desperate escape from captivity, leading them on a perilous quest to unravel the mystery surrounding the vanished Fremen.

To ensure a smooth launch, Funcom has proactively released a benchmark tool and a character creator. This allows PC players to optimize their in-game settings and meticulously craft their characters ahead of time, minimizing any launch-day delays.
