Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero Hinted for Nintendo Switch 2 by Saudi Ratings Board

Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero has received a rating for Nintendo Switch 2, even before any official announcement confirmed the fighting game’s arrival on the new console.

We still lack official confirmation that the game, based on Akira Toriyama’s beloved anime and manga, is headed to Switch 2—but a now-deleted tweet from the Saudi General Authority of Media Regulation, first noticed by the Gaming Leaks and Rumours subreddit, suggests otherwise.

"Experience the intense fighting action in the latest Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero. Available on Nintendo Switch 2, with 3D battles and storylines that shift based on your decisions," the tweet stated before being removed, confirming it had been assigned a 12+ rating.

PlayDragon Ball: Sparking! Zero builds on the legendary gameplay of the Budokai Tenkaichi series and elevates it to new heights, featuring an incredible number of playable characters, each with unique abilities, transformations, and techniques.

We gave it 7/10 in the IGN Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero review, saying: "Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero is a nostalgic blast from the past—sometimes too much so—but the joy of returning to a simpler era when games didn’t need balance or competitiveness to be fun still holds strong."

Nintendo Switch 2 pre-orders launched on April 24, with the price remaining at $449.99—and sales unfolded much as anticipated. On the same day, Nintendo warned U.S. customers who requested a Switch 2 pre-order through the My Nintendo Store, stating that delivery dates cannot be guaranteed due to overwhelming demand.
