Summary
- 75 games will support DLSS 4 Multi-Frame Generation, exclusively available with the RTX 50 GPUs, significantly boosting FPS.
- Nvidia's upcoming Blackwell GPUs will enhance DLSS technology, with the flagship RTX 5090 model starting at $1,999.
- While DLSS 4 and Multi-Frame Generation are highlighted for the RTX 50 series, some enhancements will also be available for older RTX models.
At the 2025 Consumer Electronics Show (CES), Nvidia unveiled exciting news for gamers: 75 games will support DLSS 4 Multi-Frame Generation, a feature exclusive to the forthcoming RTX 50 series of graphics cards. This technology promises to revolutionize gaming by significantly boosting frame rates in titles such as Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Cyberpunk 2077, and Marvel Rivals upon the release of the RTX 50 GPUs.
The next generation of Nvidia GPUs, codenamed Blackwell, will build on the foundation laid by the current Ada Lovelace architecture. These new GPUs will introduce enhancements to Nvidia's Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) technology and introduce Multi-Frame Generation, which aims to increase frames per second (FPS) at a faster rate than the existing Frame Generation technology. The flagship model of the Blackwell lineup, the RTX 5090, will come equipped with 32GB of GDDR7 video memory and start at a suggested retail price of $1,999. Other models in the series, the RTX 5080, 5070 Ti, and 5070, will be priced at $999, $749, and $549 respectively.
Nvidia emphasized that DLSS 4 and Multi-Frame Generation are set to be game-changing technologies. At launch, 75 games and applications will immediately support these features. For instance, in Cyberpunk 2077, turning off DLSS and Multi-Frame Generation with full ray tracing enabled results in performance below 30 FPS on the RTX 5090. However, activating these features can boost the frame rate to an impressive 236 FPS on the flagship Blackwell GPU.

While a specific release date in January for the RTX 50 GPUs was not disclosed at the time of the announcement, Nvidia confirmed that some enhancements of DLSS 4 will not be exclusive to the RTX 50 series. Owners of older RTX 40 series cards will benefit from updated DLSS features, including Frame Generation, Ray Reconstruction, and Deep Learning Anti-Aliasing (DLAA), through future Nvidia GeForce driver updates available via the Nvidia app or their website.
Additionally, upcoming titles such as Doom: The Dark Ages will also incorporate Multi-Frame Generation and Ray Reconstruction upon their release. PC gamers considering an upgrade to the RTX 50 series will have a plethora of advanced features to look forward to, enhancing their gaming experience significantly.
