Disney Dreamlight Valley: Where To Find Mussels

Disney Dreamlight Valley's Storybook Vale expansion introduces a plethora of new ingredients, some more elusive than others. Mussels, a key ingredient described as a surprisingly water-filtering mollusk, can be particularly challenging to locate. Unlike some shellfish, Mussels only appear in specific Storybook Vale biomes. Their unpredictable spawn locations further complicate the search.

Finding Mussels in Disney Dreamlight Valley: Spawn Locations

Mussels are found on the ground throughout Mythopia, specifically within these areas:

The Elysian Fields
The Fiery Plains
The Statue's Shadow
Mount Olympus

While some players report easily finding Mussels in these locations, others find them scarce. Spawn rates seem inconsistent, with some areas yielding more than others. The image below highlights potential spawn points near trial areas, such as the one near Hades' unlock in the Elysian Fields.

A cluster of Mussels may also be found behind a hidden bush in the Elysian Fields during Hades' "A Moth to a Flame" quest (as shown above). Unlocking this area might increase Mussel spawns across Mythopia.

Mussel Uses in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Unlike some other seafood, Mussels aren't used in crafting. Their culinary uses include:

Garlic Steam Mussels
Mussel Risotto
Steamed Mussels

Alternatively, consuming a Mussel replenishes 150 energy, or they can be sold for 75 Gold Star Coins at Goofy's Stalls.
