The Witchcraft power system features three core branches: Eldritch, Psyche, and Growth & Decay, each representing a unique magical discipline. Progressing through the Coven's quests earns Restless Rot, crucial for upgrading Altars near the Tree of Whispers. While standard Altars are readily accessible, Forgotten Altars offer a different path to power.

The Challenge of Forgotten Altars

Unlike their fixed counterparts, Forgotten Altars appear randomly within Sanctuary's dungeons. This necessitates exploration and dungeon grinding, though the seasonal questline often leads players through dungeons, minimizing extra effort. The reward, however, is substantial: Lost Powers, among the game's most formidable abilities.

Finding all Forgotten Altars unlocks the following Lost Powers:

Name	Power
Breath of the Coven	Applying a Crowd Control or damage effect with any Witchcraft Effect boosts Attack Speed by X for 10 seconds, stacking per unique effect (Eldritch, Psyche, Growth & Decay). At Rank 8: 40% Lucky Hit chance with all active.
Hex Specialization	Increases Hex Effect potency by X. At Rank 10: +10% Critical Strike Chance against Hexed enemies.
Aura Specialization	Increases Aura Effect size by X. At Rank 10: +50% Critical Strike Damage to enemies within Aura effects.
Piranhado	When an enemy is Hexed and affected by an Aura, summons Piranhado, dealing X Physical damage over 12 seconds. Occurs every 20 seconds. At Rank 5: Piranhado seeks nearby enemies.
