Netflix is developing a live-action Dungeons & Dragons series based on the Forgotten Realms setting, according to Deadline. The project, one of Netflix's largest fantasy investments, is spearheaded by Shawn Levy (director of Deadpool and Wolverine), writer-showrunner Drew Crevello (WeCrashed), and Hasbro. The series will follow the established Forgotten Realms lore, a setting also featured in the film Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves and the video game Baldur's Gate 3. While Netflix and Hasbro haven't officially confirmed the project, Deadline reports that the pilot script is complete and the show is moving forward in development. Success could potentially lead to a larger D&D universe on the platform.
